863 (Thurston) Water Combat

What better way to make the most of a beautiful summer evening than a Squadron Night involving water, teamwork and plenty of laughter!

Last night at Thurston HQ, cadets swapped the classroom for some light-hearted Water Combat, armed with water balloons and water lances for an evening of friendly competition.

The activity gave everyone the chance to let off some steam and enjoy the softer, more relaxed side of combat-style games. There were plenty of tactics on display, some questionable attempts at avoiding incoming water, and inevitably some very wet cadets and staff!

More importantly, evenings like this are a fantastic opportunity for friendship and team building. Away from formal training, cadets of different ages and experience levels were able to work together, have fun and strengthen the friendships that make Squadron life so enjoyable.

With the warm summer weather providing the perfect backdrop, it was great to see everyone getting involved and enjoying themselves.

A brilliant summer Squadron Night at 863 (Thurston) Squadron – simple, slightly chaotic, very wet, and a lot of fun!
