And just like that, our Summer Camp adventure comes to an end!
We certainly weren't going to waste the journey home though. Our final stop was Snozone Yorkshire, where the cadets swapped summer camp for snow and enjoyed an hour-long sledging session on the indoor slopes.

They absolutely loved it and made full use of every minute available, with plenty of trips up and down the slope and a lot of laughter along the way. It was a brilliant way to break up the journey home and squeeze one last activity into what has already been a very busy week.

Throughout the camp the cadets have experienced new places, taken part in a huge variety of activities, spent time together away from the Squadron and, hopefully, made some fantastic memories along the way.
A massive thank you must go to all of the staff who gave up their time to make the camp possible. Camps like this simply couldn't happen without volunteers giving their time, energy and enthusiasm to provide these opportunities for our cadets.
And finally, thank you to the cadets themselves. You've thrown yourselves into the week, represented 863 (Thurston) Squadron brilliantly and certainly kept everyone busy!
Now it's time to finish the journey back to Thurston, unpack, get some washing on and enjoy a very well-earned rest.
Summer Camp 2026 – complete!
Safe journey home everyone, and we'll see you back at the Squadron soon.
