Last night, the warm glow of Christmas filled Thurston Church as 863 (Thurston) Squadron joined the community for a beautiful Christmas service. Marked by heartfelt singing, poignant messages about the true meaning of the festive season, and inspiring readings by our talented cadets.
Our cadets showcased their confidence and clarity during the readings, with special recognition going to CDT Hatip and CDT Trumpess, who captivated the congregation with their eloquent delivery. Their dedication to this role was evident, and they truly embodied the spirit of the season.
The service wouldn’t have been complete without the guidance of our Padre, whose thoughtful direction created a meaningful and reflective atmosphere. As a delightful surprise, the evening ended with a snowy touch, bringing smiles to all and adding an extra layer of festive cheer.
After the service, TCT provided warm refreshments, including a hot drink to chase away the winter chill and a mince pie to complete the holiday experience. Their generosity brought everyone together, creating a wonderful sense of community and shared celebration.
Thank you to everyone who contributed to this magical evening. Events like this remind us of the importance of coming together, celebrating traditions, and supporting one another as we embrace the joy of the Christmas season.
Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas from 863 (Thurston) Squadron!
