Halloween Special Planet Laser BSE - 863 (Thurston) Event

On the eerie night of Halloween, 31st October 2024, 863 (Thurston) Squadron embarked on an adventure to Planet Laser in Bury St Edmunds.

The historic Planet Laser BSE venue, renowned for offering adrenaline-fueled battles in a maze of darkness, has long been a favourite for those seeking action and strategy. Since its opening, the site has hosted countless groups, providing high-energy experiences with its sci-fi-themed arenas and tactical challenges.

This evening was particularly special, as it marked the second opportunity for our new recruits to fully integrate into the Squadron.

They joined their fellow cadets with determination, eager to demonstrate their sportsmanship and competitive edge. From 1900 to 2100, the venue belonged exclusively to us, transforming into a battleground of flashing lights and laser beams.

With a ticket price of £7.50 per head, the cadets embraced the challenge, navigating the arena’s twists and turns while the new recruits bonded with their comrades through teamwork and strategic play.

Excitement filled the air as they engaged in friendly combat, making it a Halloween night to remember.

A special thanks also goes to the staff who supervised the event, ensuring everything ran smoothly and safely. Lastly, we’d like to recognise the cadets for demonstrating exemplary behaviour throughout the evening. You truly showed how to represent the 863 (Thurston) Squadron with pride and respect while out in public!
